| Guy's Beauty School was established January 1, 1954, on Youree Drive, by Guy M. Dorman, as a post graduate school for the sole purpose of further training licensed beauticians for employment in Guy's Beauty Salon. Talented beginner students were 1st accepted February 7, 1955. Hershel Ferguson bought the school in January 1982. On July 1, 1982, Mr. Ferguson and Claude Burch established a partnership and changed the name to GUY'S SHREVEPORT ACADEMY OF COSMETOLOGY.
